How thick is Lava Paint?
When applied in two coats, Lava Paint has an average thickness of approximately 1 mm. The exact thickness may vary slightly depending on the application method and the desired textured effect.
Where can Lava Paint be applied?
Lava Paint is suitable for walls, ceilings and furniture, such as cabinets, tables, kitchen cabinets and more. It can be used in living rooms, kitchens, hallways, toilets and bedrooms, both indoors and outdoors.
Lava Paint can also be used in bathrooms, with the exception of wet shower areas.
What surfaces can Lava Paint be applied to?
For the best results, it is important to have a smooth and dry surface. Lava Paint works best on properly prepared walls and ceilings.
Suitable surfaces include fresh plaster, plasterboard and existing paintwork. Wood and steel can also be finished with Lava Paint, provided they are properly prepared beforehand.
Do you have a wallpapered wall? That is also possible, as long as the wallpaper is paintable, such as renovation wallpaper or fibreglass wallpaper.

Do I Need a Primer?
For absorbent surfaces, a primer is essential to ensure good adhesion and achieve the best possible finish. This includes freshly plastered walls and other porous surfaces.

Yes. Lava Paint is a textured product with a cloudy effect. Subtle variations and colour differences are part of the character of the finish and make every wall unique.
Does Lava Paint go well with a lava stone poured floor?
Yes. Lava Paint was developed as a wall finish that perfectly complements the look of lava stone poured floors.
What is the coverage of our Lava Paint?
Our Lava Paint has a coverage of approximately 3.5 m² per kg for two coats, with around 10% water dilution and on a smooth surface.
